Our Business

The main business idea of the Norsk Miljøkraft Group is to develop profitable near-shore wind power parks in Northern Norway. The wind conditions along the North Norwegian Atlantic coastline are among the best in Europe.

Since the 1st of January 2012, the Norwegian government has joined the Swedish market based support scheme for renewable energy. The common goal is to fulfill the EU 2020 targets by building 26.4 TWh new renewable energy sources until 2020. The main part of this volume is expected to come from new wind power plants.

Today we have several wind power projects under development. Our total wind power project portfolio has a potential installed capacity of more than 1 000 MW with an estimated annual output of nearly 3.5 TWh.
